The Shirts Have Arrived!
The tech shirts for World Media Run have arrived! Made by Leslie Jordan in their Cool-Cat Smooth fabric, they are sweet! If you have registered for the virtual portion of this year's race, we'll begin mailing out the shirts on Monday. Heck, we'll probably finish, too, since we don't have very many virtual racers - around a half dozen at last count.
However, the "flagship race" in Miami is shaping up very well, with nearly 40 runners registered and expectations for a dozen or more walk-ups. All in all, we're calling things a success.
We also have some real quality runners signed up as well. Our top virtual entrant boasts a 2:51 marathon and we have a runner in Miami (Hank Berkowitz) who participated in the 2006 USA Cross Country Championships! Needless to say, there will be some speedy times.
In addition, there will be many non-speedy times hitched to awesome performances. I know that for some, World Media Run will be their first race, and we're very excited that you chose WMR for your first racing experience!
